Q. Do you buy reclaimed items from people?

A. Generally, no. We get most of our stock from donations and demolitions, which allows us (and you!) to keep items out of landfills when they can be reused. However, if an item has a high intrinsic value, we will sometimes pay or trade for it, but this is an infrequent exception. If you have questions or items you’d like us to see, please e-mail a description, pictures, and any other information to reclaim@philadelphiasalvage.com¬†and we’ll take a look.

 

Q. Do you deliver?

A. Yes, we do. We have an agreement with a local licensed and insured moving company, and we can arrange delivery for you that will usually cost about $75. For more information, please contact us. Delivery will generally be a good option for items too large to ship (like furniture) when the buyer lives in the Philadelphia area.

 

Q. Do you ship out of state?

A. Yes, we do! We can ship anywhere in the continental United States. Typically, we use Priority Flat Rate shipping from the USPS. We generally have items shipped from the shop within 2-3 days of order, and delivery is usually within 2-3 days of shipping. Rates vary by item size, between about $5 and about $15.

Once in awhile, we list an item that cannot be shipped via Flat Rate. Those shipping rates will be indicated on that listing. If you have questions about a shipping rate, please contact us for more information. Third-party shippers are welcome, and we will prepare your item for the third-party shipper of your choice.

 

Q. Where are you located?

A. We are located in West Mt. Airy, an area of Philadelphia, right across the street from Weavers Way Co-Op. Though there is a Carpenter Street in South Philly, we are actually located on Carpenter LANE.
