Established in 2011, Philadelphia Salvage Co. celebrates the City’s rich architectural heritage by fabricating custom furniture from old-growth lumber milled in Philadelphia’s only operating urban sawmill.
A 40,000 square foot warehouse in Swampoodle Philadelphia preserves one of a kind pieces and materials to be reclaimed in modern design. The ever-changing inventory is a designer and homeowner's paradise. From reclaimed lumber and mantels to custom furniture and barn doors - Come see what you will find!
The building was once the site of the Bureau Brothers Foundry, which was established in the 1870s by French immigrant brothers and was one of America's leading foundries.
Pieces that were cast here can be found throughout the Philadelphia area in locations such as Laurel Hill Cemetery and Fairmount Park. Most notably, the General Ulysses S. Grant sculpture on Kelly Drive comes from this very foundry.
In 2016 PSCo. fully moved its operations into this historic building from its previous retail location in Mt. Airy continuing to grow their stewardship of Philadelphia's History.
When visiting please dress seasonally appropriate as this historic building does not have central cooling or heating.
